IntroductionSoftball is a bat-and-ball sport played between two teams of 12 to 15 players. Every team aims in scoring as many runs possible, against the opponents by striking the ball with a specific bat. It is a direct descendant of baseball although there are some key differences: softballs are larger than baseballs, and the pitches are thrown underhand rather than overhand.Provincial ConvenorJim Richardson - softball@specialolympicsontario.caSoftball Sport Conference Listing Rules of the SportClick Here to View the Complete SOC Rules for Softball English ResourcesClick Here to View Softball Canada Website![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Coaching CertificationClick Here to View Coaching Certification Requirements for Higher Competition![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Discussion GroupThe sports forum and discussion group serves as a forum for discussion between Special Olympics Ontario Coaches and partners within that sport.
